Santa is Coming!!!

I was excited this year to go to Rob and Karoline's this year for Christmas. Eve turns 2 in a couple of days and she kept saying that Santa is Coming.  When Stampin Up came out with the 25 and Counting Stamp Set and Peekaboo Frames Die cut, I just knew that I had to make an Advent Calendar for Eve.  When I got here on Christmas Eve, I had asked that Eve wait to open the 24th.  She was so excited to open up her little box for the day.  I had to bring the 25th with me.  Here is what it ended up looking like.

It was fun filling all the little tin boxes.  I now carry the 2 tin boxes in my purse so that I can find things to fill it all year.  Now for my Christmas story with Eve.

Rob and Karoline's new house doesn't have a Chimney.  I knew that it wouldn't mean that much this year because Eve is still pretty young, but next year…..  So I had to make something to incorporate the  Magical Key and poem.  At first I thought of a plaque and then when I was out shopping, I found this box and knew that it was perfect.

I decorated it a bit, but I made the inside special.

The poem was written by someone and unfortunately I cannot give credit where credit is due, because it didn't have a name signed to it. The poem reads:

We don’t have a chimney,

as you can plainly see.

But we still want you to visit,

so here is your Magic Key!!!

Some food for your Reindeer,

and give them our love too!!

I hope you like the cookies,

we made them just for you!!

  Is he here

She quickly ran to the couch and looked out the window to see if Santa was outside.  Then she went to bed to wake to see if Santa came.

Santawas here

He came!!! Santa did come and the Reindeer ate the food!!!

Children definitely make Christmas.  Grandchildren is just the Icing on the Cake.  I just love being a Gramma.  I hope all of you had a Merry Christmas and you created new traditions of your own.  Tomorrow I will share another tradition that I stated doing years ago.  I used something from the new Occasions Mini as well.

'Til later,

Diane
