Christmas Decorations? A Prize awaits
When do you put up Christmas decorations? And when do you turn on Christmas lights outside? I know it is a preference to each one of us, but I am very curious. So……….. why not a give-a-way? If you leave a comment stating when you put up your tree, outside lights and what your favorite decoration is, you will be entered in to win this package to make some more decorations.

I have already put the lights up outside that require going on a ladder. They won’t be turned on until the garlands go up on the railing and around the front door. That will happen around Dec 10. My tree will go up on Dec 10 as well. My favorite Christmas decoration used to be my village but since I haven’t set that up for the last 3 years, my favorite bought item has become my fiber optic angel that stands about 18″ tall. My ultimate favorite things are the hand made decorations that my kids and grandkids have made. So many decorations I love!

We put up the tree in Dec…usually the first week and the lights as soon as my hubby is able….this year I might have to take on that..but it will be done by Dec for sure. I love a Nativity scence…it the reason for the season!!
Half our lights went up today and the other half will go up next weekend. We have to buy some new ones as the old ones are getting too dull. The christmas tree goes up the first week of December and doesn’t come down until the 2nd week of January. I have many crystal icicles that I hang all over the tree instead of tinsel. They are my favourite decoration. They sparkle so beautifully.
This week for the lights, and the beginning of December for the decorations. Because I am away over Christmas I like to enjoy them as long as I can beforehand. My favourite decoration is one that belonged to my Mom.
Great contest idea Diane! My tree goes up the first or 2nd week of December. My outside lights go up and get turned on a bit sooner ( as I like to put them up before it gets too cold out) so around the end of November, and my favorite decorations are all the hand made Christmas ornaments I have. For years my siblings and I used to do a gift exchange of hand made Christmas ornaments and I still have them all.

I usually put 2 trees up around the 15th Dec. one is about 3 ft tall and the other is my favorite decoration which I have had for many yrs, it is a chrystal tree about 16″ high and it revolves on a small wheel and the lights change color as it turns, I put this in my living rm. window so everyone can see it..I also put up outside light up candy canes and 2 small trees with lights…all in one day as weather permits…have a Merry Christmas everyone!!!
