What a wonderful day!

Today we went on a tour of some old Homesteads on George Little's property up in the Knustsford area.  We crossed some beautiful country and was given a history lesson.  I wanted to share some photos that I took.  Here is the first homestead that we came to that was owned by the Powers.  The same Powers that Power's Addition was named after in Kamloops.

This next homestead was owned by the MacKenzie's.  This was such a beautiful setting.

Mckenzie Homestead

It is hard to believe that people found these locations by horse and wagon.  How did they build these places?  No electrical tools.  These were true labours of love.

The building in this next picture is called a Creamery.  It is located near a creek which runs through it to keep the cream cold.

It was an awesome tour and what a way to spend a Sunday!

Stampingly,

Diane
