San Antonio First Day

Elaine and I decided to snoop around San Antonio.  I really wish that I had read up a little bit more about this wonderful City.  Last night we walked the River Walk, but was hard to really see due to the darkness.  We went to diner at the Lone Star Steakhouse.  I didn't take any pictures.  Today, we went to the Alamo.

The Alamo

Very impressive.  Amazing that this was a Spanish Missionary back in the early 1700's. I am still unclear of the entire history of this, but it was in 1836 that the Spanish regained the Alamo back from the Texians.   I now have to brush up on some history.

We also did some shopping.  We went to La Villita which is a Historic Arts Village.  I could have stayed there all day.   I love these types of shops.  I also love it when people have the imagination to make something out of junk.  Check this out.

Shopping in San Antonio

Sorry for the shadows in the picture, but the back of the donkey is made out of a old rusted  metal Wheelbarrow.  I couldn't guess what all the other stuff was. It would be great to have a Welding Machine and try to create something like this.  OMG  I can't believe that I just said that.

We went on the River Boat Tour.  I sure was glad that we did it as we learnt so much about San Antonio.  He was well aware of the Stampin Up ladies. He kept referring to us. I will try to share some photos tomorrow when my Camera Battery charges up.

We went out for dinner with a bunch of Stampin Up ladies.  What a riot!  and  GRRRRRRReat Margaritas.  A little sleepy right now so had better call it a night.

'Til later,

Diane
