It’s February already!

Wow does time ever fly!  So much has happened since my last post.  I am a Grandma now.  Eve was born on Dec 30 at 12:15am.  Due to circumstances, I was so fortunate to be right there when she was Eve101born.  She is the first Grandchild on both sides.  She is just a doll and who knows, she may be my next Stamping Princess.  My Daughter-in-law, Karoline, have been sending me pictures on a daily basis. She sent me a short video of her and I heard her cooing.  My heart just melted.  I can't stop playing it. What a beautiful thing to do for a Grandma that lives so far away.  I am so fortunate that she is so thoughtful.  I can also get started on a Scrap Book.   They live in Calgary and I have to wait until March to go see her.  I get the best of both worlds because I also get to attend a Stampin Up Regional when I am there.  I will get some more videos and pictures of her.  I've told Rob and Karoline to plan a date so that I can Grandma sit.

Now on about Stamping.  Last Week we had our monthly Card swap.  The theme was anything goes.  I really have such a hard time coming up with an idea when the theme is so open.  Obviously the other ladies do not have such a hard time.  I will share some of the cards with you.

Dorothy

This first card was done by Dorothy.  Dorothy is just amazing with the ideas that she always comes up with.  She takes 3 dimensional to the next level.  By the way, I want to wish Dorothy a Happy Belated Birthday.

Carol

This card was done by Carol.  She is such an amazing and thoughtful person and is so willing to learn anything.  Look at the way that she used her Cricut and embossing folders.  I just love the effect that she gets with the combination of the Bermuda Bay and Yellow.

Irene

I just absolutely love the simplicity of this card.  Irene amazes me every swap with what she pulls out of her hat.  She uses so many different size cards and is really showing us the way that cards do not have to be  the traditional size.  Keep it coming girl.

Dawnica Dawnica is another Stampin Up Demonstrator here in Kamloops.  I don't know how she does it with her 8 month old ( he is the cutest little man….  maybe a future play date for Eve. )  This card is amazing and when you pull the ribbon on the top a package of Hot Chocolate appears.  Alot of work for a swap, but hey……. what a way to impress us.   She also used the Salted background technique on the little heart.

Elaine's

Elaine created this beautiful card with a Stencil and Shimmer paint
that was put in a pile from another class that she gave.  Elaine is my
Upline and the reason why I am a Stampin up Demonstrator other than
Monica, but that is another story.  Every time I go to Elaine's, I am so
inspired to do different things.  I just wish that I was retired !!!  Another long story.  You really should see this IRL.

Deb1

Deb R. designed this very cute card card.  What alot of work with all that punching and sticking and piercing and distressing and……  I don't think that I have ever seen someone finish a project in class as fast she can.   No wonder that that she did such an involved project for a swap.

Deb

This card was done by Deb who is a Stampin Up Demonstrator in Drayton Valley.  Welcome Deb and I look forward to meeting you at the Regionals.  This is Debs first swap. I think that she is pulling our legs when she created this project.  Check out the new scallop Corner punch and the SAB stamp set.  Dazzling Diamonds and the new SU Embossing folder was also used.  Well done.

Kim

This masterpiece was done by Kim. I love, love, love the colours and the pleating of the designer paper on the bottom of the card. I think she used dazzling diamonds to make the flowers pop off the page.  Kim deserted us in Kamloops a couple of years ago and we miss her sense of humour and creativity.

Norma Norma did this creation using the Paper Casting technique and the Fifth Avenue Flower set.  Norma thinks outside the box and is amazing at having her swaps done 3 months in advance.  Other than Dorothy I do not know anyone so organized.  Okay,  you can correct me if I am wrong.

I will post my swap at a later date as I am also doing it for a swap at the Regionals in Calgary.

STAY TUNED for my Vintage Vogue Class that I am doing in March.  4 Cards and a Container to take them home in.
