MIA in Winnipeg

What an awesome weekend!  I just spent the last 4 days in Winnipeg with Rob, Karoline, Eve, Keira nd Lettie.  My goof up of booking my flights, made my stay one day longer.  Oops, but it was wonderful to stay another day and help the kids celebrate Thanksgiving with their new Old Spaghetti Factory friends and family. Rob and Karoline have done Thanksgiving Dinner every year for their staff.  What a wonderful way to show their gratitude to their staff!  We figure that there were about 100 people there.

Everyone got in the kitchen to help.

Even Eve brought some food out to the table.

Although I didnt get a picture of all the food, here was the table.  Eve made the table decorations.

There were 4 Turkeys, 2 Hams and lots and lots of veggies and other dishes.  They had one staff member that  cooked 2 huge dishes of Mac and Cheese that was to die for.  A lot of the staff brought things like homemade cranberry sauce, pumpkin pies, desserts and bannock.  It really was a wonderful time.  I am so glad that I got to stay for this.  I had a blast and then got my lessons on washing dishes and other restaurant duties.  I must say, I was really slow compared to the pros, but hey I got to roll up my sleeves and dig in.

Now back to work and I have sooooooo much to do.  It is Cards for a Cause on Saturday and my Over the Top Christmas Card class on Sunday.  God thing I work well under pressure.

Have a wonderful day.

Stampingly,

Diane
