Lord Stanley

Wow what an opportunity yesterday!!  First of all I had my open house.  I will share a few things about that in the coming week, but I wanted to share the experience that we had last night.  We were invited to Mark Recchi's parents place for a private party to celebrate the 2011 Winner of the Stanley Cup, Boston Briuns, and Mark Recchi.  I was and still am a Canucks fan ,but it was a tough call this year knowing who to cheer for.  Mark Recchi is a Kamloops Boy and played for the Kamloops Blazers.  It was a great celebration and it looked like it was going to go well into the night.  Here are some pictures.

I normally can't stand to have a picture taken of me, but who couldn't resist?  Here is another of me trying to hold up the Cup.  I didn't realize that it was that heavy.

Also, it is really big.  Although I am tall for my height, the Stanley Cup is over half my height.

A special thanks to Greg, who made this experience happen because he was the Trainer for the Kamloops Blazers when Mark played here, Mark Recchi for inviting us and Mel and Ruth Recchi for hosting the party.  Mark Recchi has now retired from playing hockey, but what will he do in the future?  No Stamping to share today, but I hope you enjoyed this little diversion today.

'Til later,

Diane
