Card in a Box Instructions
I had a huge response for my instructions on My Card in a Box. I figured it would be best to just post it right here. I really wish that I was confident enough to do videos. Here is the card again.
and here are the insructions.
Card in a Box
- Cut card stock to measure 9” by 6”.
- Score along the 9” end, 2 1/8”, 4 ¼”, 6 3/8” , and 8 ½”.
- Turn 90° and score at 2 ¾”.
- For the ‘Z’ inserts inside the box. Cut 2 ¼” by 3 1/8” and on 3 1/8” side score at 1/2” and at 2 5/8”. Cut this piece in half at 1 1/8” on 2 1/4” side. Fold tabs up in a ‘Z’ and adhere sticky strips to ends. Set aside.
- Take main card stock so that the 2 ¾” side is at the bottom and cut along the small square score lines to make flaps. Trim of the tiny strip left over and discard.
- Fold the crease and use a strong double-sided tape to adhere the box together.
- For the back of box, put card stock measuring 5 7/8” by 2” to write on.
- Now you can decorate the flaps. Use DSP cut to measure 2” by 2 5/8”.
- Optional: You can also decorate the outside bottom of the box by cutting DSP or Cards stock 2” by 3 1/8”.
- Add two ‘Z’ strips to the inside of the box. You will use these panels to stick all your flowers, or stuff for your card in a box that you want to ‘pop’ out of the box.
- Embellish as desired. Create you own envelope for this card using the envelope punch board.
I hope that you can follow these instructions.
Have a wonderful day.
Stampingly,
Diane
